Our 2015 March All Industry Day was a terrific success, with the highlight being the low impact accident demonstration presented in the parking lot of the Lions Gate Hotel.
“I really enjoyed the All Industry Day. I learned a lot of good information about low impact crashes that I did not know. Personally, the best thing I got out of the seminar was that I was able to apply what I learned in my physics class to understand how an impact happens and it's effect on the human body,” explained Jenn Rodriguez, a Sac State Student and GIS member.
Our speakers, Bill King, President and CEO of Impact General Inc; Director of the National Institute of Forensic Studies and Jonathan Colman of Colman MacDonald Law Group LLP, brought us relevant and current information regarding collision reconstruction and biomechanics, physical damage analysis, and methods to litigate fraud.
“The crash demo was my favorite part by far, I was able to take a lot of good videos on what a low speed collision can do to a vehicle. The most interesting part of the slide show was the location of injury on the body and how it could happen, as well as all of the videos;” explained Jenn, “I especially liked the video of the man who fell asleep while driving and how to determine where he hit first and what he did as soon as he was aware he hit something (over correcting, resulting in a rollover incident). There was a lot of great topics covered and I am very glad that I attended.”
We’d like to thank our sponsors and our volunteers. Attendance was high and everything ran smoothly. If you attended, thank you for being a part of a great day with excellent info. If you missed it this year, you’ll want to mark your calendars next year.
