A Smashing Success- March All Industry Day

Our 2015 March All Industry Day was a terrific success, with the highlight being the low impact accident demonstration presented in the parking lot of the Lions Gate Hotel.

“I really enjoyed the All Industry Day. I learned a lot of good information about low impact crashes that I did not know. Personally, the best thing I got out of the seminar was that I was able to apply what I learned in my physics class to understand how an impact happens and it's effect on the human body,” explained Jenn Rodriguez, a Sac State Student and GIS member.

Ethics can be measured by your level of desire to consider the needs of others and place them ahead of your own. Although ethics are described as a set of rules and measures of conduct, that ignores the reason for encouraging ethical behavior. Rules and conduct are necessary but the heart of ethics is serving others. It is the intentional act of carefully considering the impact of your actions on the lives of the customer, their family, their friends and their community. Ethics involves intention, attitude and perseverance.

Ethics have been debated for at least as long as written language has existed. Western philosophy believed a higher truth or a greater good existed that people should strive for. Eventually, philosophy morphed into differing ideas which proclaimed morals are a man made set of ideals that individuals should decide for themselves, not set by religion or culture. Regardless of how one determines their own ethics, they remain paramount to the trust that must exist between business and client for a marketplace to remain viable.
